The poster was designed for a brief provided by Teatr Rozrywki theatre house in Chorzów for their upcoming play „Tootsie”. The team working on the play's adaptation was inspired by the 70's aesthetic and has decided to set the story in this timeframe, as opposed to the Dustin Hoffman movie, which was set in the 80's. The theater also chose to stray away from the famous visuals of feathered hair, very popular in the 70s, or big glasses and red sparkling dress established in the 1982 movie.

The theatre house has requested for the project's final outcomes to be a full set of designs consisting of a wide range of different sizes, so it was crucial for the design's visuals to look good either on a very small or very big format.

The poster qualified for an exhibition of 30 best poster propositions that will be showcased during the premiere of the play in the hall of the Teatr Rozrywki theatre house in Chorzów.

My concept for the poster was very much inspired by the warm colors distictive for the 70's aesthetic. The main idea behind the message of the poster was to convey the womanhood symbol – the heel, here broken, because it was used by someone untrained in wearing heels, which in this context is a man pretending to be a woman.
